PROJECT THE VOICE AND GET CONFIDENCE WITH THE RIGHT VOCAL TECHNIQUE

The singing technique I teach works for all musical styles. The voice technique is based on the nature of healthy speech, natural voice projection and freedom of the whole body. The approach is very similar to speaking technique. A singer only needs to flex their vocal chords into higher tones. You may be surprised how nice your voice could sounds and your vocal range could be extended under my hands. There is a few thinks you can do to make your voice more audible, pleasant and reach also in high pitches.

HELP WITH OUT OF PITCH SINGING

You may have been told that you are tone deaf, that  you can never sing because you are out of tone when you try.  Give me a chance to prove them wrong.   If you are healthy and have a little bit of will, there is no reason why you should not be singing.

I am so pleased I  discovered blues and hard rock music, even heavy metal. I was 14 and I really loved it . The music of the British band, Iron Maiden, was the only music in my world at  that time. The voice of the band's singer, Bruce Dickinson,  may sound to you a little bit forced or even violent perhaps. However, I think he could compete with many more well known singers, even some from the world of  classical music. To see what I mean, consider the tour schedule of the band.  On average they are performing a full concert every two days. Now listen to a song. Take Nomad for example. Dickinson reaches the high note B natural  no less than 12 times!!  The same the top note of Puccini's Nessun Dorma for example :o)

Let me,  just one more heavy metal idol of mine. Double check how high does he sing :o)  Michale Kiske from Germany, ex singer of Helloween. Please do double check what tones he reaches on the top with no going to falsetto.

There are others who sings very well by my opinion. I really don't discriminate any voice just because it sounds over a music I do not really like. I am not a fun of rap for example, but I do not mind about the voice of Eminem us it is quite well made technique.

I fall in love with this voice recently. A Celtic woman I desired to marry until I have found she has been taken already. Pity! Not too high but such beautiful, clear and free voice.

This are my lowers from Finland. Tarja Turunen doesn't sings with them  any more unfortunately. I love the cover version of Phantom of the opera. I think it is as better as the original indeed. The bass man has magnificent timbre I think. Here is one more song by Nightwish, just in case, you would fancy :o)

HELP WITH SINGING DIFFICULTY

You may have been told that you can never sing because your voice is too unpleasant, sounds hoarse, cracky or even hurts when you try sing. Again. Give me a chance to prove them wrong. If you are healthy and have a little bit of will, there is no reason why you should not be singing. 

There are no differences in the basics of voice techniques from one genre to another. Because some singers lack the knowledge of the basics at the start they develop bad habits. Every single singer has some bad habits in their technique but often we love their voice just because of those habits . So much so we can not imagine some artists singing without them.

In terms of the timbre there is suppose to be no difference at all between singing and speaking. Most people try and 'set themselves up' for singing. This means that most people go wrong because they, without realising, change the timbre or colour of their voice when they sing compare to when they speak. But they should know that the most beautiful voice is a natural one.

My name is Pavel Josifek. I came from Czech Republic and settled in Bristol in summer 2004. I perform, mostly classical and romantic opera music now. Below you can see that I haven't actually done only 'boring' opera music in the past.

When I was 21 I bought my first classical CD - It was Mozart's Eine kleine nachtmusik. I still keep this CD several years later. I am so glad I have had the opportunity to discover the music of great composers  like Dvorak, Smetana, Janacek, Rachmaninov, Tchaikovski, Bizet, Verdi, Puccini and many others.

When I was 24 I fell in love with opera. My enjoyment of the beautiful and powerful melodies of Puccini's music keeps me awake at night.  I feel really sorry for those who have not discovered this beauty yet.

I really hate the well known 'operatic style' when one sings like having a dumpling in the throat. I know how to do this. You just simply lift the soft pallet in your mouth as you yawn - just in case you would like to try it :o). I do not sing with a dumpling, and I care of all my pupil to not do that at all. But I love a good opera so much and well trained voices, the natural sounding. They are on the top of my scale but not us much higher as those, I have listed above. The best one in my eyes is a man of my age from Peru Jose Diego Florez. I am so sorry my ladies, he is taken too :o)

I love all good music, I don't discriminate because something's rock or classical, opera or jazz, musical or pop. I can see the differences and what the absolute similarities between all genres, even romantic opera and good heavy metal.
